By scheduling services, requesting an estimate, approving work, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Scope of Work

All work performed is based on the agreed estimate, service description, or written proposal.

  • Any additional work outside the original scope must be approved and may result in additional charges.

  • Verbal requests do not guarantee inclusion unless confirmed by our team.

2. Estimates

  • Estimates are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection.

  • Final pricing may change due to:

    • Hidden damage

    • Structural issues

    • Material changes

    • Customer-requested additions

We do not provide final quotes without seeing the job unless clearly stated.

3. Scheduling & Project Timing

  • Project dates and appointment times are estimated and not guaranteed.

  • Delays may occur due to:

    • Ongoing project timelines

    • Subcontractor availability

    • Weather conditions

    • Material delays

    • Unforeseen job site conditions

  • Scheduling may shift as projects progress. By booking with us, you acknowledge that start and completion dates are subject to change.

  • We will communicate major delays as reasonably possible.

4. Deposits

  • A deposit may be required to secure your appointment or project date.

  • Deposits are applied toward your total balance.

  • Scheduling is not confirmed until the deposit is received.

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

5. Payments

We accept:

  • Secure online payments (processed through encrypted payment systems such as QuickBooks Payments)

  • Cash

  • Cashier’s checks

  • Payment terms will be outlined prior to starting work.

  • Failure to make payments as agreed may result in work stoppage.

6. Cancellations & No-Shows

  • At least 24–48 hours notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Deposits may be forfeited for:

    • Late cancellations

    • No-shows

    • Repeated rescheduling

7. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide safe and clear access to the work area

  • Ensure utilities (water, electricity) are available if needed

  • Remove or protect personal belongings

We are not responsible for damage to items left in active work areas.

8. Materials

  • Materials may be supplied by the customer or by Keith Thurmond and Associates.

  • We are not responsible for defects in customer-supplied materials.

  • Special-order and non-returnable materials are final sale.

9. Delays

We are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Weather conditions

  • Material shortages

  • Subcontractor scheduling

  • Unforeseen site conditions

  • Events beyond our control

10. Workmanship

We take pride in our work.

  • Concerns must be reported within a reasonable timeframe after completion.

  • We will review and address legitimate workmanship issues when applicable.

11. Limitation of Liability

Keith Thurmond and Associates is not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage or conditions

  • Hidden structural issues

  • Incidental or consequential damages beyond the scope of work

12. Handyman Services

  • Handyman services are for minor repairs and small projects only.

  • We reserve the right to stop or decline work if the project exceeds handyman scope or requires specialized/licensed trade work.

13. Safety & Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if:

  • The environment is unsafe

  • Conditions differ from what was described

  • There is harassment, interference, or unsafe behavior

14. Subcontractors

  • We may use qualified subcontractors for portions of work.

  • Project timelines may be affected by subcontractor availability and scheduling.

  • We are not liable for delays caused by subcontractors but will make reasonable efforts to keep the project moving.

15. Non-Payment & Work Stoppage

  • Payment is due as outlined in your estimate, invoice, or agreement.

  • Failure to pay may result in:

    • Immediate work stoppage

    • Removal from schedule

    • Project delays or cancellation

  • Any costs associated with stopping and restarting work may be charged to the customer.

16. Late Payments

  • Late payments may be subject to additional fees or interest as permitted by law.

17. Collections & Legal Fees

  • In the event of non-payment, we reserve the right to pursue collection efforts, including legal action.

  • The customer agrees to be responsible for:

    • Collection costs

    • Attorney’s fees

    • Court costs

    • Any expenses related to recovering unpaid balances

18. Website Use

All website content is for informational purposes only and may be updated without notice.

19. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of any updates.
